Millet Modak

Ingredients:

  • Eat Millet Idli rava – 1 cup
  • Palm jaggery – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Coconut – 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Cashew nuts – 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Green cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 pinch

Making process:

  1. Take one cup of Eat Millet idli rava and clean it. Roast it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Take 1 cup of water and add 1 cup palm jaggery. Let the jaggery dissolve.
  3. In a kadai, add 1 tablespoon of ghee, 2 tablespoons of chopped coconut, and 2 tablespoons of chopped cashew nuts. Roast them.
  4. Strain the jaggery water and add 1 teaspoon of green cardamom powder. Once it starts boiling, switch off the flame.
  5. Add Eat millet idli rava little by little into it, making sure no lumps are formed. Using a whisk helps in this. Switch on the stove and mix well.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of ghee and 1 pinch of salt. Mix well until the batter becomes like a dough. Let it cool.
  7. Apply a little ghee to your hands and make the dumplings. Serve.
